Our Board Members

The BCCE Port Towns Community Development Corporation (CDC) team is composed of experienced leaders and community members dedicated to the Port Towns. The Board provides oversight and visioning for the CDC's mission. Collectively, the Board is committed to fostering sustainable growth, strengthening local businesses, and ensuring that initiatives reflect the needs of the communities.

Melinda Mendoza, President

Melissa has been a resident of the Port Towns for over 30 years. She resides in Colmar Manor with her family and two dogs. She serves on the advisory board for The Prince George's Community Collaborative Resolution Center.

Renuka Lakshmanan, Treasurer

Renuka lives in Edmonston, Maryland with her husband, son, and dog. She works for a government agency and graduated from the University of Rochester with a degree in economics. In her free time, she loves to bake and take her son on bike rides.

Conor Grew,

Vice-President

Conor Grew serves as the Cottage City representative on the BCCE Port Towns Community Development Corporation Board of Directors. As a Ward 1 resident, his focus on the board is to support development and build a durable commercial tax base across the Port Towns municipalities. Professionally, Conor works at Capital One within the Global Enterprise Affairs group. Locally, Conor is an active community volunteer. He serves as a Den Leader for the Cub Scouts and supports local youth sports programs.

Neil Ryan

Neil Ryan works locally as a Vice President with Ernest Maier, a leading construction materials supply store since 1926. Ernest Maier has been an active business member within Bladensburg and the Port Towns for many years, often partnering on local building improvements. Neil lives locally and is a father, enjoying watching and playing sports in his free time.

Hareshwar (Harry) grew in Guayana and has lived in the Colmar Manor for 24 years. He enjoys playing cricket.

Monique Burton

Monique Burton is an active member of Edmonston and a proud voice of the community. Along with her duties as a mother, she serves as an educator at one of our local schools. Monique is also a newly-elected Councilmember, having entered office in 2026. She has lived in the community for 30 years and looks for new ways to stay connected.

Marilyn Blount

Marilyn has lived in the Port Towns for almost a decade. She volunteers for a Stop The Violence Group. 

In Memoriam of Stuart Eisenberg

Stuart was a valued at-large board member of BCCE and a distinguished leader whose decades of service left a lasting mark on various communities throughout Prince George’s County. He recently retired after 20 years as Executive Director of the Hyattsville Community Development Corporation, where he led efforts to advance arts and cultural development, strengthen public spaces, support economic revitalization, and foster community investment along the Route One Corridor and the urban edge of Prince George’s County. As President of the Hyattsville City Council from 2001 to 2005, Stuart provided thoughtful leadership. Stuart leaves behind a remarkable legacy of service, creativity, and commitment to community, and he will be missed.
